Here at Love Teachers we aim to make your experience with us as easy and transparent. We’ve compiled some of the more common questions and answers that come up.

Who do you work with?

Love Teachers works with a range of teaching assistants, cover supervisors and support staff roles across day-to-day, short term and long term for Early Years, Primary and Secondary education.

Whether you have years of experience or just starting out in education, if you have a real desire to contribute to young peole and support them to achieve their best we want to work with you.

Registration and Interview

What happens at an interview with Love Teachers?

We want to find out about you, your strengths and exactly what kind of work you are looking for. We'll go through our current opportunities and begin to build a real feel for your skills, so that we're best placed to perfectly match you with a school.

During registration you will need to provide some documentation pertaining to your qualifications, ID and background checks. Prior to your interview we will send you an email confirming exactly what documents / information you will need to bring with you, and the points for discussion.

Who can I use as references?

Love Teachers require at least two references ideally from work in an educational setting or working with young people. References must be from employers and managers within the last two years. Details we'll require will include their full name, job title, school and their professional email address.

Can you offer me teaching placements within Special Education Needs (SEN)?

What is a Cover Supervisor?

A Cover Supervisor replaces the regular class teacher in their absence, supervising the students as they complete work that has already been planned and prepared. They provide day-to-day supervision and are often the only adult and authority in the room. They are responsible for managing the behaviour of the class and ensuring students complete the assigned work.

Types of Schools

Do you work with a particular type of school?

We work with a whole variety of different schools across Greater London with a wide range of Ofsted ratings, areas of focus, cultures, specialities and ethos. We aim to match you with a school that fits your experience and interests. If there is a particular type of school at which you would like to teach, please let us know when you register with us.

Daily supply work

What do I need to take with me on a supply day?

Upon confirming your daily supply booking we will text you all required information including the name and address of the school, directions to get there and what you will need to take with you for a successful day. This will often include your DBS, Proof of Address and Photo ID.

We will always endeavour to give you as much information as possible to make sure your day runs smoothly – for example we will let you know if we recommend you pack a lunch or if there is a specific dress code.

Who will be my contact at the school?

We will always send you information about whom to contact when you arrive at school, and course we're  available throughout the day to help if you have any issues!

How will I receive payment?

You will be paid weekly. Payment will be processed a week in arrears via your nominated Umbrella company.

How far would I need to travel for supply work?

We aim to find you work as close to home as possible and will always inform you of the exact location of the school when offering a position and before you accept.

Can you guarantee me work for 5 days per week on supply?

As the work offered varies depending on different schools’ needs, we cannot always guarantee work 5 days each week on supply. However we'll do our very best to get you as many days as needed!

Permanent roles

Love Teachers offers permanent and long term supply roles that start throughout the year. If you priority is the security of stable work based in one school, let us know when you register and we'll make this our focus for you.

What support does Love Teachers offer?

We pride ourselves on the one-to-one, thoughtful and sensitive support we provide. You'll have a dedicated consultant who is always contactable and always on your side. If you have a question that hasn’t been answered above, feel free to contact us.
