Here at Love Teachers we aim to make your experience with us as easy and transparent. We’ve compiled some of the more common questions and answers regarding different the types of teaching role,  schools and the experience required to work with us.

What type of teaching and support roles do you offer?

We're based in North West London, and work with schools all over London..

Whether you are looking for your next teaching role in the sciences, arts, SEN or a nursery, we'll provide you with one-to-one support to help you find your ideal position.

Registration and Interview

What happens at an interview with Love Teachers?

We want to find out about you, your strengths and exactly what kind of work you are looking for. We'll go through our current opportunities and begin to build a real feel for you as an education professional, so that we're best placed to make a perfect match. During registration there will be some documentation pertaining to your qualifications, ID and background checks for you to complete. Prior to the interview we will send you an email confirming exactly what documents / information you will need to bring with you, and the points for discussion.

Who can I use as references?

Love Teachers require at least two references from teaching roles or work you have completed in an educational environment. References must be from employers and colleagues within the last two years, and the referees must have been a supervisor, Head of Department, Senior Leader or Head Teacher.   Details we'll require will include their full name, job title, school and their professional email address.

Can you offer me teaching placements within Special Education Needs (SEN)?

We work with schools placing both SEN Teachers and Teaching Assistants in both Primary and Secondary Schools. SEN work is a wonderful opportunity to inspire and support students with Special Education Needs to achieve their potential.

Can you guarantee me work for 5 days per week on supply?

As the work offered varies between the different schools’ needs, we cannot always guarantee work 5 days each week on supply. However we'll do our very best to get you as many days as needed.

What is a Cover Supervisor?

A Cover Supervisor replaces the regular class teacher in their absence. They provide day-to-day supervision and are often the only adult and authority in the room. They are responsible for class supervision, behavioural management and ensuring students complete assigned work.

Types of Schools

Do you work with a particular type of school?

We work with a number of different schools across Greater London with a wide range of Ofsted ratings, areas of focus, cultures, specialities and ethos. We aim to match you with a school that fits your experience and interests, so if there is a particular type of school at which you would like to teach, please let us know when you register with us.

Daily supply work

What do I need to take with me on a supply day?

Upon confirming your daily supply booking we will text you all required information including the name and address of the school, directions to get there and what you will need to take with you for a succesful day. This will often include your DBS, Proof of Address and Photo ID.

We will always endeavour to give you as much information as possible to make sure your day runs smoothly – for example we will let you know if we recommend you pack a lunch or if there is a specific dress code.

Who will be my contact at the school?

We will always send you information about whom to contact at the school, and the best way to reach them, but of course we are always available throughout the day to help if you have any issues!

How will I receive payment?

Payment will be processed a week in arrears. Payment will be deposited weekly by your nominated Umbrella company.

How far would I need to travel for supply work?

We aim to find you work close to or within a reasonable commute from your home. We'll always inform you of the exact location of the schools when offering a placement.

We pride ourselves on the one-to-one, thoughtful and sensitive support we provide. You'll have a dedicated consultant who is always contactable and always on your side.
